Die RWS Z LANG Randfeuerpatrone wurde speziell für das Gewehrschießen auf kurze Distanzen entwickelt.
Sie zeichnet sich durch eine vergleichsweise niedrige Geschwindigkeit aus. {cr}Dadurch ist das Trainieren mit dieser Munition auch Indoor ohne Gehörschutz möglich.
Weil sie so leise und sanft im Schuss ist, bezeichnet man sie auch als "Zimmerpatrone".
